During the week, the coaches have planned several exciting adventures to enliven the camp experience since our location is so special. These are some of the adventure trips we may take during the week. Trip into Rocky Mountain National Park up to elevation 12,000! Breath-taking views and fantastic scenery! Be sure to bring your camera! A highlight for most campers. A second trip into the Park to watch the Bighorn Sheep and deer in Sheep Meadow Park at sundown. White Water Rafting—depending on the demand, we can take some or all of our campers on this day-long adventure on the Cache la Poudre River near Fort Collins and the National Park. Always a lot of fun! Expense of approx. $100 extra. Day trip into Boulder to have a tour of the University of Colorado, home to one of the nation’s finest cross country programs. During this day, we will have a college tour for those interested, enjoy a picnic in Chautauqua Park, run on Magnolia Road in the afternoon, shower at the Y in Boulder, and enjoy free time on the Pearl Street Mall.! Another highlight of our trip! Boulder is the mecca of distance running in the US! Mountain Biking and Rock Climbing are available at the Y. We also have an evening campfire under the stars, including sing-alongs, roasting marshmallows, and sharing highlights of the day! Horseback riding. The Y has their own stable of horses and, for those interested, we can arrange to take a group on a horseback ride. The cost for this would be extra. |
